John was a prospector.

One day, he was fishing in the river, when he heard a strange noise in the sky.

When he got close to his camp, he saw a horrible scene: the military plane had dropped bombs over the forest, destroying everything in its path. their equipment and riches were scattered on the ground.

He realized that it was a government operation to stop the illegal activity of miners in the forest. He knew he had no chance of facing the military, and that his only option was to flee. He grabbed a backpack that was intact, put some things inside, and ran into the woods.

He had to dodge the shots, the explosions, and the soldiers who descended from the helicopters to capture the miners. He felt like a cornered animal, not knowing where to go. He tried to follow the river but saw that there were boats patrolling the waters. He tried to climb a hill, but saw that there were radars and drones watching the airspace. He tried to hide in a cave, but saw that there were cameras and sensors detecting the heat.
He was surrounded on all sides, and he saw no way out. He thought about giving up, about turning himself in, asking for mercy. But he remembered everything he had lost, everything he had built, everything he had dreamed of. He remembered his pride in being a prospector, in being a free man, in being a Brazilian. He decided that he was not going to surrender, that he was going to fight his way out of the forest until the end.

He kept running through the forest, looking for an opening, a hope, a salvation. He didn't know how long it would last, or if he would make it out. But he knew he was going to die like a prospector: with dignity, with courage, with honor.
