The book Al-Mawafaqat in explaining the purposes of the Book, the Sunnah, the rule, and the overall interests underlying under the monotheistic evidence and vocabulary of legislation and defining the secrets of assignments in Sharia was written by Al-Hafiz Ibrahim bin Musa Al-Shatibi (T: 790 AH 1388), and Ibrahim bin Musa Al-Shatibi chose a name for the book other than the name of the approvals, which is the definition of the secrets of assignment However, he changed it to al-Muwafaqat, and that was due to a vision of one of his sheikhs, when the sheikh said to Imam al-Shatibi: “I saw you sleeping yesterday with a book in your hand that I wrote, so I asked you about it, and you told me that it was al-Muwafaqat.

Ibrahim bin Musa Al-Shatibi deposited in his book many mandated secrets related to Sharia, and he limited his book to five sections:

Scientific introductions needed in the prelude intended.
Judgments and what is related to them in terms of their conception and judgment by or against them.
In the legitimate purposes of the Sharia and related rulings.
In limiting the legal evidence and stating what is added to that in the sentence.
In the provisions of ijtihad, imitation, and those who are distinguished for each one of them, and related conflicts, weighting, and the question and answer.
