The Bhagavad Gita (Meaning, The Song of God) often referred to as the Gita.
It is a 700-verse Sanskrit scripture, part of the Hindu epic Mahabharata (chapters 23–40 of Bhishma Parva).

The Gita is a dialogue between Arjuna and Lord Krishna (As charioteer).

At the start of righteous war between Pandavas and Kauravas, Arjuna is in moral dilemma and despair about the violence and death (kith & Kin) the war will cause. He seeks Krishna's counsel, His answers and discourse constitute the Bhagavad Gita.

Krishna Teaches Arjuna to "fulfill his Kshatriya (warrior) duty to uphold the Dharma" through "selfless action".
