Hadapada Appanna was one of the pioneers of the twelfth century Vachan movement and social revolution. He belonged to the Hadapa community and was known as Basavanna's right-hand man. Hadapada Appanna was the son of Chennaveerappa-Devakamma of Masabinala village in Basavanbagewadi taluk of Vijayapur district.
