Cards

The game uses a standard deck of cards (52 cards). The value (strength) of the cards depends first on the number, if 2 cards of the same number are compared by suit. The "strength" ratings descend by number and substance as follows:

2 (swine) > A (pig) > K (old) > Q (dress) > J (cow) > 10 > 9 > 8 > 7 > 6 > 5 > 4 > 3.
♥ (muscle) > ♦ (checkered) > ♣ (fly) > ♠ (flange).

So:

card ♥2 (pig) is the biggest card in the game
3 (three spades) is the smallest card in the game
the ♣10 (ten spade) card is larger than the ♠10 (ten spade) card.
When comparing groups (pairs, blacks, straights, etc.) of cards, the value of the group is determined by the value of the strongest card in the group. For example:

Duo: In the Northern way of playing, must have the same color: ♦5♥5 win ♦4♥4. In the Southern way of playing without the same color: ♦5♣5 wins ♦4♥4.
Trio: Both North and South are the same: ♠5♦5♥5 wins ♠4♦4♥4.
Lobby: In the Northern way of playing, the same quality ♥J♥Q♥K win ♥8♥9♥10. In the Southern way of playing: ♥Q♦K♠A wins ♣10♦J♥Q (♠A wins ♥Q) or ♦5♠6♣7 wins ♥5♥6♠7 (♣7 wins ♠7).
