PlantShine: Nurture Nature for PC

The app focusses on the problem of air pollution and indoor air quality and tries to solve the problem by encouraging people to nurture more trees.
It has features like communities, information, updates, geotags, impacts, leader-boards and much more. It mainly tries to connect like-minded nature loving people and their plants and motivate them to plant trees.

The user quickly registers over a secure connection through email and password, answering a quick questionnaire to let the app calculate the base NLI. The home screen shows some user stats like Nature Love Index (NLI), no. of friends and community writings.

The ‘Discover’ page is socially oriented with global impact, a nature lovers’ community and geotags, to locate other friends (a user can opt out to not show their location on the map also).

The ‘Plants’ page gives the options: to know the number of plants planted by the user and update them too, get more information about medicinal plants and indoor air purifying plants.

The ‘Me’ page has features to navigate to the user’s plants’ directory, see the NLI leader-board, privacy policy, add climate-action and plants related tasks or logout.

The app functionality works on the principle of NLI: Nature Love Index.
Permissions used in the app: Location access (only on user’s choice, optional) and media access (for uploading user’s post images, optional).
