Curo Beach Classic Repeater. The Bullfinch has the scientific name of Sporophila angolensis. It belongs to the Thraupidae family and in English is known as Chestnut-bellied Seed-Finch.

Cuió is also known as vinegar and rice porridge. There are close relatives of our Bullfinch in Nigeria and California, but they differ from ours in plumage and singing. The name curió, in the Tupi Guarani language, means “Friend of Man”, as this bird liked to live near the village of the Indians. Bullfinch breeding is currently large due to its beautiful singing.
In Brazil, around 128 different types of curio songs have been found. Usually characterized by being from certain regions of the country. The most known and disseminated songs were those that had the differentiated quality of repetition.
