With our app, not only will you get a tour of all the historic highlights, and you can do it on your own time! Whether you’re a tourist who wants to experience the area, or a lifelong resident who wants to see it in a new light, we’re the app for you!



Founded in 2024 by two history nerds, one an archaeologist and the other a programmer, both of whom were sick of seeing local businesses and culture waste away due to lack of interest, this app was created with an ambition to reignite a passion for local history and community engagement. History Treks does things differently. We don’t sell your data or host ads, we run sustainably, and we don’t cater to corporate interests.



We know how important it is to experience the best of what a town has to offer, to avoid the big chains and see what only this place can offer you. But we also know that the community is always growing – it takes all kinds to build a society, and nothing happens in isolation. This is why we strive not only to cover the big events you can see with your eyes, but also turn the focus to the lesser-known parts of history, to bring forward prominent local figures who shaped the community, and highlight those who are overlooked.



Our tours have been researched by professional historians and museums to ensure accuracy, and we’ve partnered with local businesses and academics to get the resident touch. That’s why when you sign up for our tours, you’ll also get cool bonus features, like:
