"A Certain Old Man's VRMMO Activity Diary" is a Japanese light novel written by Shiina Howahowa, with illustrations by Yamada. The main character of this work is Daichi Tanaka, an ordinary office worker who loves games and logs into the world of ``One More Free Life Online'', a new VRMMO that boasts a high degree of freedom.

The story revolves around Daichi Tanaka, who masters skills that are said to be impossible to use, enjoys hunting monsters with home-made strange weapons, and plays the game in a simple but carefree manner. He enjoys his "other life" with his unique play style, such as cooking delicious food, creating his own weapons, and challenging difficult dungeons all by himself.

This work began serialization in "Let's Become a Novelist" on January 7, 2013, and won the Reader's Award at the "6th Alphapolis Fantasy Novel Award." After that, a manga version by Hideya Rokudo began serialization on the Alphapolis website in June 2014. A TV anime adaptation was announced on February 10, 2023, and was broadcast from October 3 to December 19 of the same year.

As of September 2023, the cumulative number of copies of this work, including the electronic version, has exceeded 1.5 million copies. After receiving the news about the anime adaptation, original author Howahowa Shiina said, ``I am moved by the fact that the characters I created are moving.I hope everyone will enjoy watching Earth and the others move.''
