TWICE (TWICE, Korea: 트와이스) is a 9-member multinational girl group in South Korea. Belongs to JYP Entertainment. It was formed by 5 Koreans, 3 Japanese, and 1 Taiwanese selected from Mnet's survival audition program "SIXTEEN".
Debuted on October 20, 2015 with "OOH-AHH 하게 (Like OOH-AHH)" from the mini album "THE STORY BEGINS" as a girl group for the first time in 5 years since miss A from JYP Entertainment.
The group name "TWICE" means "twice" or "twice" in English, and means "to attract once with good music and twice with great performance". Group colors are apricot and neon magenta.
The official fan club name is "ONCE" (Once, morning: 원스). It is derived from the idea of "doubling the love once received and returning it." In addition, the catchphrase "ONE IN A MILLION" has the meaning of "one in a million groups".
The song "CHEER UP" released in 2016 was a big hit and won many music awards such as the Golden Disc Award Grand Prize and this year's song award of Mnet Asian Music Awards.
