Sheikh Dr. Abd al-Rahim al-Nabulsi: a Moroccan jurist, reciter, and linguist

He was born in the city of Marrakech in 1965, a year after his age. His father sent him to his grandfather to grow up in the origins of the Arab villages (the village of Awlad Hashad in Zamran al-Sharqiya) from the works of Marrakesh.

Then he returned to Marrakesh at the age of six for school, and completed memorizing the Qur’an at the hands of his father, Sheikh Abd al-Salam, and Sheikh Mustafa al-Bihayawi with the two narrations of Warsh and Hafs. The poems, Nazit al-Zahr, Nuniyyah al-Sakhawi, Ra’iya al-Khaqani, and Ghaith al-Naf’ by al-Sfaqis. The intonation was also corrected by Sheikh Abi Ubaidah with the narration of Hafs from the way of al-Tayyibah.

He obtained a baccalaureate degree from Ibn Youssef School for Original Education in Marrakesh, then joined the College of Arabic Language, at that time he studied for the third year, so the College of the Qur’an at the Islamic University in Medina wrote to him, so he moved to it, and he stayed there for months, then returned to the College of Language, and in the College of the Qur’an he met sheikhs and scholars.

A number of students of knowledge in the East and the West graduated from the hands of Sheikh Abd al-Rahim al-Nabulsi, in the ten minor and major readings, among them Saeed al-Kamali.

He held the position of Professor of Guiding Readings at the College of Arabic Language in Marrakech and Professor of Grammar and Morphology at the College of Arabic Language at Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah Al-Mukarramah. And a professor of readings at the Imam Al-Shatibi Institute in Jeddah.

Sheikh Abd al-Rahim al-Nabulsi considers his specialty and profession to be grammar and conjugation, but he employs linguistics to serve the readings and to serve the Qur’an in the connotation of endowment and initiation, as he considers his profession to be grammar and his hobby to be reading, and he considers that they are “inseparable. .

Sheikh Abd al-Rahim al-Nabulsi worked with the verification of manuscripts and book masters in various legal and linguistic sciences, such as the book: Faraed al-Ma’ani fi Sharh Harz al-Amani by Ibn Ajrum al-Sunhaji, which is the subject of his state doctorate, and the book al-Qawl al-Fasl fi Difference of the Seven in Waqf and Wasl by Abu Zayd Abd al-Rahman Al-Qadi al-Meknassi, which is the subject of a postgraduate diploma, and the investigation of: Nazm al-Bari’ in the reading of Nafi’ by Ibn Ajrum, the investigation of: Nazm al-Wasl al-Wasl by him, and the investigation of: Nazm al-Kadari on the guidance of the suspicious by Ibn Ajrum, and the investigation of: The Book of Nathr al-Murjan fi Rasam Nazm al-Qur’an by al-Arkati, And the investigation of “Briefing the statement in reading the workshops of Ibn Abd al-Rahman” by Abu Amr al-Dani.

He also authored a number of studies and publications, including the series Theory of Possibility in the Imam’s Decree, and Evidence for the Deletion of the Soft Alpha, an Explanation of What Was Deleted as a Filling of Alphabets, An Abnormal Context of Reading and What Relevant References to Sibawayh’s Book, Poetic Adverbs and Their Relevance to Linguistic Reality, and a Comparative Study Between the ancient dialectal perception and its effects on the tongues of the modernists in the Arabian Peninsula, among other works.

Sheikh Dr. Abd al-Rahim al-Nabulsi is currently offering religious lessons in the subject of “Qira’at” within the framework of scientific chairs supervised by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
