ITALO DISCO – Italian Music for PC

Italo-disco, appeared in Italy in the early 1980s. By this time disco had already gone out of fashion in the USA and the UK, but in the rest of Europe it was still popular.

Italian music producers used synthesizers and drum machines, by the mid-80s Italo-disco had become completely electronic. This genre is characterized by a medium tempo, artificial sound and the dominance of synthetic sounds. As a rule, in Italo-disco, the text is in English with a strong Italian accent.
Among the outstanding performers of the genre are Savage, Fancy, Scotch, Ken Laszlo, Radiorama, Fun Fun and Alexander Robotnick, Fantasy.
