He transmits the sayings and actions of the Messenger Muhammad, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, as narrated by the Companions, and in a few cases he transmits some of the sayings and actions of the Companions, following the example of the Messenger Muhammad or striving with his guidance. The hadiths are distributed in fifteen (books), and the book includes several chapters, the number of which varies according to their subject matter, and the chapters are numbered in sequential order from the beginning of the book to its end, totaling three hundred and seventy-three chapters.
