The first official radio broadcast of Goias was held on July 5, 1942 during the festive program of the Cultural Baptism of the new capital by ZYG-3, later officially became known as the Radio Club of Goiânia S / A (RCG).

The creation of the RCG was even conceived in 1941 when the mayor of Goiânia, Venerable de Freitas Borges, in one of his trips to São Paulo-SP, met with Assis Chateaubriand who suggested to him that implanted a radio station in the new capital of Goiás.

Venerating became the first president of the Radio Club of Goiânia side of Antonio Machado to Lisbon (vice), Romeo Pires de Campos Barros (Secretary) and Agnelo Fleuri (treasurer). Along with the staff we were asked a series of meetings at the headquarters of the Jockey Club to structure the new station. The first step was the acquisition of a transmitter with an output of 2000 watts that came from Rio Grande do Sul and manufactured by Technical Society Paulista.

The Radio Club, the newspaper Goyaz sheet and Radio Club TV (from the moment it was created) became part of the Daily Associates, the largest network of Latin American communication Durantes the 1940s until the mid-1970s with the sale of TV and then the sale of RC and Goyaz Sheet for Wibsen de Castro.

The radio station was in tune 1320 AM radios. At the end of the 1980s, the political force that had succeeded with the Ministry of Communications change the tuning to 730 AM. The new frequency had better quality of signal transmission and better sound quality.

The first announcers team was formed by Luiz Carlos Pimenta Netto, Antonio Caldas, Waldir Gonzaga, Wilmar Guimaraes and Inácio da Silva Xavier who built a musical programming, cultural and audience champions: the radio soap operas at night. The Club was also responsible for the transmission in the ground Goiás "Esso Reporter" - the first news program on Brazilian radio.

Throughout history great names worked hard to maintain the leading audience such as: Lourival Batista Pereira, Dalva de Oliveira, Cunha Júnior, Luiz Espíndola, Oliveira de Conrado, Valdemir Celestino Lázaro Santos, Sandes Junior, Barbosinha, Carlos Alberto Menezes Justino Guedes, among others.
