The Brewfecto coffee and tea calculator is an interactive brewing cheat sheet with what you need to know to make fantastic brew every time. For those already practiced in brew methods who no longer need brewing demonstrations, but instead need a quick reference, something like a recipe card box. Save your favorite settings for the methods you use. Pour over has a timer that prompts you when to pour how much.

This calculator is available for free online at brewfecto.com. The site redirects to Brewfecto's home at slowroadtripping.com/brewfecto-coffee-calculator/. The website is a Progressive Web App, so the website can be saved for free to your device and used without an internet connection. This paid app isolates the Brewfecto page as an app with its own launcher icon.

Use Brewfecto to peg and save your perfect serving size and strength for each brew type you use: pour over, French press, Aeropress, and cold brew; instant coffee; loose leaf tea; and matcha. Some methods brew stronger than others. Easily scale your batch up or down for company or to finish off what's left in the bag.

Each brew type has its own dosage and brew ratio calculator with guides for typical strength and how to make the brew stronger or weaker. Yield is estimated for coffee (grounds absorb water). If you save the volume capacity for your mug the yield shows number of refills.

Coffee bean, tea leaf, and water measurements are in both gram weight and volume. The volume system can be set to US Customary, imperial or metric. Dry volumes are approximate conversions from grams. Grams are reliable compared to dry volume for consistently brewing a great cup.

Each brew type shows optimal values for brewing temperature and time. Temperature scale Fahrenheit or Celcius tethers to the selected volume system. Grind size recommendations appear for coffee. Your dosage and these numeric factors all affect how good your brew will be, together with the quality of the beans or leaves and water, and time since roast.

The pour over coffee calculator fits your dosage to preset brew recipes from top brewers Tetsu Kasuya, James Hoffmann, or George Howell. A pour over timer prompts you when it's time to pour how many grams. Pour over recipes can be further customized and saved.

Saving a dosage or a pour over custom recipe copies your settings to the clipboard in a format that can be pasted into a row in a spreadsheet if you'd like to keep notes on your brewing experiments.

Caffeine content is estimated for your dosage and type of brew. Some brew methods extract more caffeine than others. The caffeine section links to the nutrition science research that is the basis for the estimate. The caffeine section also explains why the estimate is rough.

A tea bag converter tells you how many tea bags and how much water to use if you use tea bags to make larger tea batches of hot or cold brew tea. Otherwise, it assumes you weigh loose leaf tea leaves.
