Ensure a seamless learning experience for your RCI-1000 with this quick and easy setup guide:
STEP 1 (Plug In Everything Except Barrel):
Ensure your Tablet/Laptop battery is between 0% and 50%. Plug the Tablet/Laptop Power Supply into the RCI-1000 box, but do not connect the barrel to your device.
STEP 2 (Push Learn Button to Start Learning):
Press and hold the Learn button for approximately 15 seconds until the RED LED starts flashing, or click the Start LEARN process on the app.
STEP 3 (Wait For Green Flashing LED):
After about one minute, the GREEN LED will start flashing. Once flashing, plug in the barrel connector into the Tablet/Laptop/device.
STEP 4 (Wait for RED LED to Illuminate):
After plugging in the barrel, wait for approximately one minute. The RCI-1000 LED will turn solid RED, indicating that the learning process is complete. The RCI-1000 will continue to measure the current continuously, comparing it to your device's needs while providing the LED illumination and app notification for you to know what is going on with your battery. The RCI-1000 keeps this saved charge profile for your device, remembering it for next time.
STEP 5 (Wait for Solid GREEN LED, indicating 80%-99% full):
Observe the solid GREEN LED indicating the battery is at least 80% charged. If the battery is close to full, the RED LED goes off, and the GREEN LED stays solid. In cases where the Tablet/Laptop is unplugged or fully charged, both LEDs will be off.
Pro Tip: If your Tablet/Laptop stays on when the lid is closed, the GREEN LED may stay on even at 100% battery, indicating a slight current draw.
