*Journey through time and place*
Time Walk Paihia is a unique opportunity to learn about some of the people who lived in Paihia in centuries past. It explores the early history of Māori who have lived in this rohe for centuries, and how they worked with the Church Missionary Society (CMS) towards the vision of a shared nation.

The Time Walk experience uses a variety of digital content to tell the rich stories of the CMS Mission and mana whenua, including augmented reality elements to give you a glimpse of sites as they were in history.

By exploring the relationships forged at Paihia we can begin to appreciate and understand the context of the Treaty of Waitangi more fully, and the coming together of two different cultures to form modern Aotearoa.

Note: The Time Walk is a walking tour marked by physical signs located around Paihia. Content is unlocked when you reach a Point of Interest or by scanning the QR code found on the signs at each location.
